These terms apply to anyone who:

  • Contacts us to enquire about our services
  • Books a cleaning, housekeeping, or household staffing service through us

By using our site or services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the authority to enter into a service agreement with us.


About Our Services

Clean India Project connects households with verified maids, cooks, nannies, babysitters, caretakers, and professional cleaning staff across India. We currently operate in Gurgaon, Mohali, Chandigarh, Zirakpur, Noida, Pune, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, and Bhubaneswar.

Our role is to source, verify, and match household staff to your requirements. While we take significant steps to vet all professionals on our platform — including background checks and reference verification — we are a placement and service coordination company, not the direct employer of the staff placed in your home.


Bookings & Confirmations

A booking is considered confirmed only after you receive a written confirmation from our team via email, WhatsApp, or phone call. Submitting a contact form or requesting a quote does not guarantee a booking.

We reserve the right to decline any booking request at our discretion, including in cases where we are unable to find a suitable match for your requirements or where service in your location is temporarily unavailable.


Pricing & Payments

All prices are communicated to you before your service begins. We do not charge hidden fees. Any additional services requested beyond the original scope may be quoted and billed separately.

Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking. For cleaning services, payment is typically due upon service completion unless otherwise agreed. For household staff placements, payment terms depend on the nature and duration of the arrangement.

All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.


Cancellations & Rescheduling

By you: If you need to cancel or reschedule a booked service, please inform us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee, depending on the service type and any costs already incurred.

By us: In rare cases — such as staff illness, emergencies, or circumstances beyond our control — we may need to reschedule your booking. We will inform you as soon as possible and offer the earliest available alternative.


Replacement Guarantee

For household staff placements (maids, cooks, caretakers, nannies), we offer a replacement guarantee if the placed staff member does not work out. The terms of the replacement — including the timeframe and conditions — will be communicated to you at the time of placement.

The replacement guarantee does not apply in cases where the placement was ended due to reasons within your control, such as changes in your requirements, relocation, or personal preferences unrelated to staff performance.


Your Responsibilities as a Client

When using our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your home, requirements, and any specific needs or preferences
  • Ensure a safe working environment for our staff and placed professionals
  • Treat all staff with respect and dignity
  • Not approach or hire staff introduced through our platform independently, bypassing our placement process, during the engagement period or for 6 months after it ends
  • Notify us promptly if there are any concerns with a placed staff member rather than taking unilateral action

Our Responsibilities

We commit to:

  • Conducting thorough background verification on all staff before placement
  • Matching staff to your stated requirements as closely as possible
  • Responding to your concerns and complaints in a timely manner
  • Offering replacements when a placement genuinely does not work out
  • Handling your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy

We do not guarantee specific outcomes, such as a minimum duration of any placement or that a particular staff member will meet every expectation. Household staffing involves human relationships, and while we work hard to make good matches, some situations may require replacement or adjustment.


Prohibited Use of Our Website

When using our website, you agree not to:

  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems
  • Upload or transmit harmful, offensive, or misleading content through any contact forms
  • Scrape, copy, or reproduce website content without our written permission
  • Misrepresent your identity or contact details when making an enquiry or booking

Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, and layout — is the property of Clean India Project or used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use any part of this website for commercial purposes without our express written consent.


Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Clean India Project will not be held liable for:

  • Any damage to property caused by staff beyond what is covered under our service insurance
  • Any loss or theft unless directly proven to be the fault of staff placed by us
  • Any indirect or consequential losses arising from use of our services
  • The conduct of staff in scenarios that were not part of the agreed service scope

Our liability in any situation will not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.


Disputes & Grievances

If you’re unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us first at services@cleanindiaproject.com. We’ll do everything we can to resolve the issue fairly and quickly.

If a dispute cannot be resolved through direct communication, it will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Gurgaon, Haryana, India, and governed by the laws of India.


Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as our services grow or as regulations require. When we do, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
